While working on this piece, I used radial hatching as a form of mark-making to demonstrate motion and chaos. "Conquest" was made for a portfolio I did focusing on conflict throughout history and cultures, with each piece being around a single motif. This work was meant to be a representation of the historical Mongol Empire and shows their dominance as a calvary force.
